(TBA to as they are rendered)
Last week I unfortunately lost some of my work in Blender; some of it has been remade but am still working on the rest. The plan for EOY is to put the clips together into one montage/sequence video (not necessarily all of them included) - documenting them individually here for memory and tracking sake :)
I am approaching making each one intuitively, taking the camera view through the point clouds along animated paths and adjusting their position as I go. I would like to try and maintain the sense of ambiguity about them without getting too abstracted (i.e. too zoomed in, only individual points visible, a singular view point without context in the wider point cloud, etc.). At the same time, I think I can afford to be a bit more surreal with some of them... As mentioned in my meeting last week and in my Research Summary, the point clouds I've chosen to work with are a selection from those made during my time on Rangitoto, I've intentionally chosen those that are close observations rather than large surveys of the environment - those featured here are based on areas 15-90cm in size and are either lichen formations, lava flow details or a combination of the two.
